A Health Advisory warns beach-goers to avoid water contact activities due to the presence of elevated levels of bacteria.
Since their creation some 16 years ago, the Estuary Program and Small Wilderness Area Preservation (SWAP) have collaborated to conserve the beautiful resources of Morro Bay. With help from the Program, SWAP and its army of volunteer have been able to make the Elfin Forest 90% weed-free, protecting its native chaparral that visitors love. The Program and SWAP continue to combine their energies to educate visitors and protect
the bay.
