Call for Posters - State of the Bay Conference
Deadline for abstract submission is April 9, 2010
The State of the Bay is a free two-day event hosted by the Morro Bay National Estuary Program. The conference provides partnering agencies, local organizations and the general public with the latest news about conditions affecting the Morro Bay estuary and efforts to protect it. Presentations, panel discussions, field trips and exhibits will be accompanied by a poster session focusing on fresh water, estuarine, marine and watershed topics relevant to the estuary and/or its watershed. Submitters are requested to be present at the poster session May 14th at 5 p.m.

Poster subjects should fit within one of the following categories:
Freshwater, estuarine, or marine water quality protection
Water conservation
Habitat restoration and protection
Creek restoration projects
Sedimentation
Rare or endangered species
Invasive species remediation
Impervious surfaces/Low Impact Development
Climate Change
Poster size: 3’x5’ maximum. Posters should be legible from a distance of 5’-6’.
Poster materials should include list of author(s) and should contain sections outlining methods, results and conclusion.
Students and professionals pursuing work on relevant topics are encouraged to submit an abstract for consideration. If you believe a topic is relevant to the goals of the Estuary Program and do not see it here, or have any additional questions, please contact us.
Abstracts must be submitted by April 9, 2010
Abstract should state the purpose, significant results, and main conclusion of work in 250 words or less.
