Overview

The MBNEP offers grants to assist in implementation of the Morro Bay Conservation Plan (CCMP). To be eligible for funding, a project must implement in whole or in part a CCMP Action Plan. Action Plans are guidelines for projects that will protect, preserve or enhance the estuary and its watershed.

Prospective applicants should review the CCMP to make sure their projects are relevant to one or more of the Action Plans – you can download a list from the CCMP section of our publications page.

The MBNEP has three grant programs based on project type and amount of funding requested:
Education and Outreach Mini-Grants for $2500 or less,
Implementation Mini-Grants for $5000 or less, and
Implementation Grants for requests of over $5000.

The MBNEP strongly encourages applicants to discuss project ideas with the appropriate staff prior to submitting an application. Call the MBNEP office for more information at 805.772.3834.
