Grant Received

The Estuary Program was recently awarded $5,410 from the Monterey Bay Sanctuary Foundation. These grant funds will update the Estuary Nature Center DVD exhibit, which currently shows a 30-second clip from The Living Estuary.

A touch-screen computer kiosk will replace the exhibit, allowing visitors to choose from several programs exploring the estuary, wetland habitat and central coast Marine Protected Areas. The move to a computer-based system will also allow for additions to the kiosk to meet future educational needs in the nature center.

The project will be completed by July 2010. Be sure to visit the Estuary Nature Center this summer to see the new development.

The center is open seven days a week 10 am to 6 pm at Marina Square upstairs on the corner of Marina and Embarcadero.
