As part of a program of the California Coastal Commission, ECOSLO hosts regular cleanup events to remove marine debris from the coastline and collect data on debris from the Japanese tsunami of 2011.

Meet at the Sandspit Beach parking lot in Montana de Oro State Park. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own buckets, water, and gloves.
