Morro Bay Winter Shorebird Count, Morro Bay National Estuary Program
As part of this flyway-wide effort, the Morro Coast Audubon Society conducts a one-day count of all shorebirds observed on the bay, Sandspit, and Strand each fall. Although the numbers fluctuate year to year, the general trend in Morro Bay is stable.
