Grading of Two Side Channels, Morro Bay National Estuary Program
Two side channels were graded adjacent to Chorro Creek to allow for a greater connection of water to the floodplain. This work allows the waters to leave the creek and flood adjacent areas during storms. This helps support riparian vegetation and groundwater infiltration while reducing future erosion at the site.
