Bacteria Lab Work, Morro Bay National Estuary Program
Once all samples are collected, the samples are brought to the Morro Bay-Cayucos Wastewater Treatment Plant lab for processing. The samples are diluted and reagent containing growth media is added. The samples are transferred to trays made up of many small wells. The trays are sealed and then incubated for 18 to 22 hours.
