These eelgrass samples were prepared by Cuesta students. The students halve the eelgrass blades, segment them into pieces, and place them on agar culture plates to encourage slime mold growth. Students then monitor the plates for the presence of slime mold on each eelgrass segment. The remaining half of each eelgrass blade is used for DNA isolation.
