Morro Baycam: Cloud Watching, Spring and Summer 2020

We like watching the clouds go by over the bay whether we’re on the beach, on a boat, or taking a peek at the Morro Baycam on a break from working at home. Today, we invite you to check out some of our favorite cloudscapes from dawn to sunset and everywhere between.

Morro Rock Behind Fog
A Morro Bay classic, early morning fog covers Morro Rock.

Clouds float up from the top of Morro Rock like steam from a cup of coffee.
Morro Rock defined, widespread clouds
Well-defined, bright white clouds spread across the sky behind Morro Rock.
Morro Rock defined widespread clouds with glow
Clouds form an arrow pointing right at Morro Rock near sunset.
Morro Rock pastel sunset
Stripes of pink, orange, and gold line the sky behind Morro Rock.
A little later on the same night, the gold, orange, and pink stripes have melded together and the sun is just about to dip behind the sandspit.

Once the sun fades, the sky begins to turn blue as night falls.
